Italian roots, Belgian welcome
In the 1960s, Filomena and Michele Petta left their native Italy to settle in Belgium, seeking a better future for their five children. Michele found work in the Belgian mines, enduring long days to provide for his family. Meanwhile, Filomena, affectionately nicknamed “Nonna,” used her sewing skills to contribute to the family income.
Family values based on quality work
Their determination and hard work inspired their children to take initiative from a young age. Lucie, one of the sisters, even became emancipated before her majority, demonstrating remarkable independence. This culture of effort and quality work has always been at the heart of the family's values.
The transformation into a wellness hotel in the Ardennes
In 2009, the Petta family discovered an abandoned hotel in the Belgian Ardennes. Impressed by the potential of the venue, they decided to venture into the hotel business. Although newcomers to the industry, their passion and determination enabled them to transform the property into a wellness hotel in the Ardennes. Today, under the management of Pauline Petta, the hotel combines comfort, wellbeing and the natural surroundings, offering its guests a unique experience.
